I feel there are a lot of paralleles that could be drawn between the Silmarillion and the Bible.

“And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” Genesis 1.31

I think it’s the style of Tolkien’s writing cause he was religious. I dunno, but I find the similarity interesting.
